Antonie Frank Grahamsdaughter is an artist and working with experimental film/video/ Instalations and Photography. She is director and founder of Snowflakes, Contemporary film/Video. As a videoartist Antonie Grahamsdaughter creates experimentel videoart, installations and performances. She writes filmcriticism and teaches. She got the ”FilmForm Honorary Award” for her experimental work with video. 2017 Antonie Grahamsdaughter was selected for EWVA European Women Video Artist 2016

Antonie Frank Grahamsdaughter har arbetat med videomediet som konstnär sedan lång tid. Hon har medverkat i ettstort antal utställningar, performances och framträdanden i Sverige och utomlands sedan 1980-talets början. Antonie Frank arbetar i sina verk fritt med videons konstnärliga möjligheter, inspirerad av t.ex måleri och dans. Hon har en naturlig blick och känsla för den elektroniska bildens form och sinnliga dynamik. Hennes senaste verk – She is – från 1995 är ett enastående exempel på denna ovanliga och mycket personliga ton. These include experimentation exploring the possibilities of the medium, video installation, multi-media and performance.

The selection includes artworks by some of the most influential European women artists who were video pioneers in the 1970s and 1980s. A broad range of topics and approaches to video will be shown. These include experimentation exploring the possibilities of the medium, video installation, multi-media and performance. The selected themes address: the critic to broadcast TV, identity, the relationship with their body, ephemerality of life, perception, pregnancy and maternity, the opposition between Nature and civilisation, how women are represented by the media, the role of women in society.Featured artists: Anna Valeria Borsari, Antonie Frank Grahamsdaughter, Madelon Hooykaas, Živa Kraus, Federica Marangoni, Elaine Shemilt, Annegret Soltau, Elsa Stansfield
